Hi all,

So ledger monthly "bombs out" when limit it to a period and I have
defined a budget for an account, but have not yet spent anything in that
account for the period. Error is

Error: Cannot add an uninitialized value to an amount

Is there a way to tell it to ignore these and proceed?

It seems ledger budget without specifying a period, does exactly that.

Anyone have a work around to this?

Would really appreciate it.

I don't know how budgeting in ledger works, but you could potentially
export parts of your ledger to a file using 'ledger print -p "from X
to Y"'' and then run budget on that file without the time restriction.
